HP Interface with Papercut
You are now logged in and your new screen will look like this, with options displayed for Print Release, Access Device and Scan.
Print Release
This feature will show your personal print jobs held in the queue. You will have the option to select all jobs or select specific jobs to be printed or deleted if needed.
Scan
This feature will allow you to send scans directly to your personal email with the option for OCR (searchable pdf).
Access Device
This feature will take you to the main HP panel with the option for Copy and Fax if applicable, and the Papercut icon to take you back to the previous page.
HP Copy Features and Functions
Start by placing the document(s) to be copied in the document feeder which holds 300 sheets of paper, or on the scan glass for delicate or fragile documents, or items like books that cannot fit in the document feeder.
The main copy screen provides quick options to specify the input/output sides of your document, the preference for color or mono, and the number of copies you need in the lower right-hand corner. The preview option on the right side allows you to preview what your copy job will look like before advancing forward.
Options
The Options button allows for further setting and configuration changes for copy jobs if needed, such as staple options available on your device and the ability to make changes to duplex, density, and document type.
Sides
This setting allows you to specify if your original document is single or dual sided, as well as how you want your created copy to be.
Color/Black
This setting allows you to specify whether your copy job will be printed in color or monochrome. The default setting is Auto Detect and will be based on your original document.
Staple
This feature allows you to select copies to be stapled, with a selection of staple locations in the drop down. The default setting is none.
Scan Mode
This feature is set to standard document by default but provides the option to make copies from a book on the platen glass or to scan in an id to print both sides on a single page.
Reduce/Enlarge
This feature allows you to select Manual and set the desired size of your copied image. There are a few preset options as well as the ability to key in the desired ratio.
Paper Selection
This feature allows you to change the output size of your copy to be different from the original input size, as well as select the paper type and tray if you are printing on a specified media like cardstock that is loaded in the bypass tray, or colored paper loaded into tray 2.
Pages Per Sheet
This feature allows you to place 2 or 4 pages on a single sheet copy print out.
Quick Copy
This feature located in the lower right-hand corner, allows you to quickly select the number of copies for a simple copy job that does not require further setting changes such as staple.
Quick Sets
This feature allows you to set options for commonly replicated copy jobs by selecting all the needed options, naming the quick set with a description, and saving. The saved quick sets can be recalled by selecting the "Load" button.
