Report Phishing via Phish Alert Button (PAB)

Phish Alert Button

We are now using the Phish Alert Button (PAB) in your Outlook email, which is a critical tool for keeping our university secure.

How to Use the Phish Alert Button:

When you encounter a suspicious email, use the PAB to categorize and report it. This helps our Security Operations Center (SOC) team act quickly and efficiently.

  1. Phishing: Use this option for emails that appear to be malicious, deceptive, or attempting to trick you into revealing sensitive information (e.g., login credentials, personal data). This includes emails with suspicious links, unusual sender addresses, or urgent, threatening language.

  2. Spam or Junk: Select this for unsolicited marketing messages, unwanted newsletters, or any email that is simply nuisance mail.

  3. Unknown: If you're unsure whether an email is phishing, spam, or something else entirely, use the "Unknown" category. It's always better to report and let our experts investigate!

Thank you for helping us maintain a secure digital environment at Florida Poly!

IT team will never ask you for your password via email or any insecure method.
