Teams - Connecting to Microsoft Teams

🔐 Sign In

  • Open Microsoft Teams (desktop app or browser)

  • Enter: yourusername@floridapoly.edu

  • Enter your password

  • Complete MFA if prompted

⚙️ Device Setup (Do This First!)

Go to: ⋯ (top right) → Settings → Devices

  • Speaker: Select correct output (headphones/speakers)

  • Microphone: Select device → speak to see activity bar move

  • Camera: Select webcam → confirm preview

🎧 Test Your Setup

  • In Devices, click “Make a test call”

  • Record a short message

  • Playback check:

    • ✔ You can hear audio

    • ✔ Your voice is clear

    • ✔ Camera works (if enabled)

📅 Join a Meeting

  • Click meeting link OR

  • Go to Calendar → Join

Before joining:

  • Toggle Mic ON/OFF

  • Toggle Camera ON/OFF

  • Confirm correct devices selected

🛠️ Quick Troubleshooting

  • No sound: Check speaker selection in Teams + system

  • Mic not working: Check OS permissions for microphone

  • Camera not working: Close other apps using camera

  • Login issues: Use full email + retry sign-in

  • Use a headset for better audio

  • Join early to test setup

  • Keep Teams updated
