GlobalProtect (macOS) – Allow VPN to Prompt for Credentials
Summary
If GlobalProtect on macOS does not prompt for credentials and continuously tries to connect, macOS may be blocking the Palo Alto Networks system extension. Follow the steps below to allow the extension and restore the credential prompt.
Instructions
Open System Preferences (or System Settings on macOS Ventura and later).
Click Security & Privacy (or Privacy & Security).
Click the General tab if not already selected.
Look for a message that Palo Alto Networks was blocked from loading. Click Allow.
Close the GlobalProtect client if it is open.
Relaunch GlobalProtect. The credential prompt should now appear.
