Seat Reservation System

Florida Poly has developed an online seat reservation system that allows students enrolled in flex courses (those being offered in person and online) to reserve a seat in classes they plan to attend in person.

The seat reservation system will become available at the start of classes, and students will be encouraged to login each weekend to reserve seats in their classes for the coming week. Students will receive reminder notifications each Friday when registration opens for the following weeks courses.

The system will be available online and via the Florida Poly Mobile App, in the Return to Campus module, along with a plethora of additional COVID-19 resources.

Reserving their seat online in advance will allow students to ensure that a seat is available in the classroom (capacity has been reduced to comply with social distancing guidelines) and allow them to go into the classroom and directly to the seat they have chosen, rather than wandering around the room to find an open seat.

Faculty will also be able to customize instruction and provide support with advance information about how students plan to attend class.

Flex courses are one of three instructional methods being offered in fall 2020 as a result of COVID-19. The University is also offering different modalities of instructions for labs-based and online engaged classes.
