How to Setup DUO Enrollment

Duo is a two-factor authentication platform that adds a second level of protection to your account. When logging into your account, you will log in with your username and password, and then authenticate with Duo to confirm it is you accessing your account.

It is highly recommended that you do this from a computer, and not the mobile device that you will be enrolling with Duo. In just a few easy steps you can install the DUO Mobile application on your smartphone or tablet. It will start when you open the DUO Security Enrollment email, which will come from no-reply@duosecurity.com.

  • Click on the link in the Enrollment email (A similar email is shown below)

  • Click to Start Setup to begin enrolling your device.

  • Click the device type you'd like to enroll and click Continue. We recommend using a smartphone for the best experience. If you use a smartphone, you will need to install the DUO Mobile app. The following instructions guide you through the smartphone setup. You can also enroll in a landline telephone or iOS/Android tablet.

  • Click to select your country from the drop-down list and type your phone number. Use the number of your smartphone, landline, or cell phone that you'll have with you when you're logging in to a Duo-protected service.

  • Click Continue.

  • Identify your phone, if you are using a phone that is not a smartphone, click other and the setup will be complete. If you have a smartphone, continue to the next step.

  • Install the DUO Mobile app on your phone, and follow the platform-specific instructions on the screen to install Duo Mobile.

  • After installing Duo Mobile app return to the enrollment window and click I have Duo Mobile installed.

  • Open the Duo Mobile app on your phone. Tap + button.

  • Use the Duo Mobile app’s built-in barcode scanner to scan the QR code on the enrollment window. NOTE: Do not attempt to scan the QR code in the image below.

  • Once you have scanned the QR code on your device, you should see the screen below, indicating success.
    Continue

  • When adding a new device, it is defaulted to Ask me to choose an authentication method. If you choose to automatically push or call, you won’t be able to select the option to remember your device when logging into Duo-enabled applications later.
  • You may change this setting at any time when logging into Duo-enabled applications by selecting My Devices & Settings before completing two-factor authentication.

  • Click Finish Enrollment.

Log in to Workday (https://www.myworkday.com/flpoly/login.flex)

  • Click one of the options for dual authentication. You can also click remember me for 15 days option. With this option, the system will not challenge you again for the next 15 days, as long as you use the same browser.

If you want to add more devices, you can click on the Settings on the same login page and follow the link Add a new device.
