The microphone microphones in the classrooms have many fail points. These are steps you should take when troubleshooting.

  • Equipment

    • Check if the transmitter is turned on and battery levels are sufficient.

      • Solution: Replace the batteries.

    • Check if the Receiver (located in the lectern) is powered on and the levels are rising when speaking into the transmitter.

      • Solution: Check to make sure the group and channel match on the transmitter and receiver.

      • Solution: check the Display LED’s LEDs and replace the power supply.

    • Check if the 3.5mm cable is connected to the local PC mic input.

      • Solution: locate the 3.5mm and connect to the Local PC mic input.

  • Crestron Touchscreen

    • Check the mic levels and verify the mute function isn’t turned on.

      • Solution: Unmute the the mic and set the volume to 90%.

  • Local PC settings

    • Right-click the task bar taskbar speaker, then click Open Sound Settings to view the mic input levels.

      • Cycle the 3.5mm cable connected to the local PC mic input to see if the PC registers the device.

      • Power cycle the DMPS.

      • Reboot the application utilizing the mic.

      • Reboot the local PC.
