ITS Solutions Delivery is pleased to announce the Workday 2024R1 Release is scheduled for delivery and installation in production on March 9, 2024.  The newest release boasts virtually 150 new or enhanced features and is currently available for testing in our preview tenant.

Most of the release improvements primarily focus on backend operations to optimize infrastructure, which end users will not immediately notice.

The most visible enhancements university-wide include:

  • Moving “Worklets” to “Hubs”

  • Your Top Apps

  • Announcements on Your Homepage

Worklets Transitioning to Hubs

Workday is transitioning from individualized worklets to consolidated hubs within the global navigation menu. These hubs serve as centralized spaces organized by topic or job function, offering navigation menus, customizable landing pages, and access to internal and external links. Notably, four (4) worklets are set to retire on March 9, 2024:

  1. Benefits

  2. Pay

  3. Expenses

  4. Career

This will make way for the:

  • Benefits and Pay Hub

  • Expenses Hub

  • Jobs Hub

All are available for testing in Preview now.

Your Top Apps

The newly-incorporated Your Top Apps section of the home page streamlines access to frequently used tasks and worklets. By showcasing the first four (4) apps from the Global Navigation menu, it facilitates swifter and more convenient navigation.
