Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-Factor Authentication (or “MFA”) is a security measure that adds another layer of protection to your Florida Poly NetID account in addition to your password. MFA is an important tool in protecting the security of your NetID and the personalized information and services it provides to you. Using this verification process makes it more challenging for attackers to hack into your NetID account. Even if the hacker or attacker knows your NetID and password, it is useless without an additional authentication method.

Upon first use of your Florida Poly NetID, you are required to set up MFA. The University encourages certain best practices in set-up and use of our MFA tools.

The primary MFA system used at Florida Poly is Microsoft Authenticator, so all NetID users should become familiar with Microsoft Authenticator options and best practices.
